Vediamo il significato di questi due phrasal verbs:
Look for significa “cercare”, “andare in cerca di”. It means “to search for someone or something”.
Look forward to, invece, vuol dire “non vedere l’ora di”. It means “to feel happy and excited about something that is going to happen”.
Ti propongo due esempi:
“What are you looking for? Have you lost something?”
“Che cosa stai cercando? Hai perso qualcosa?”
“I’m looking forward to next summer holidays.”
“Non vedo l’ora delle prossime vacanze estive.”
